Time running out to enter open spaces photo competition!
Charnwood residents have less than two weeks to enter the ‘Love the outdoors in Charnwood’ photo competition.
Charnwood Borough Council launched the competition as part of its ‘Love the outdoors in Charnwood’ campaign which celebrates the borough’s wide range of beautiful country parks, nature reserves and ancient woodlands.
Residents of all ages are invited to take part by submitting recent snaps of their favourite park or open spaces in Charnwood.
Over 45 entries have already been submitted and applications close at 5pm on Monday September 19.
Cllr Jenny Bokor, the Council’s lead member for open spaces in Charnwood said: “I would like to thank everyone who has entered so far. There has been a fantastic range of photos submitted and choosing the winners will be tough.
“If you haven’t already entered then make sure you get your photos in! There is still plenty of time and you’ve got to be in it to win it!”
Entries need to be of recent photos taken in the last six months and there are three different categories for people to enter:
Open category (age 16 and above)
Young photographer (under 16)
Wonderful wildlife (open to all ages)
There will be vouchers up for grabs for the winner and two runners-up in each category which are kindly being provided by Love Loughborough BID.
The winners will receive a £50 voucher and a £25 voucher will be awarded to each runner-up.
Lisa Brown, manager at Love Loughborough BID said: “We are really pleased to be involved with the competition and can’t wait to see the entries.
“Charnwood offers such a wide range of beautiful parks and open spaces which are home to a variety of different wildlife so I’m sure it’s going to be difficult to choose the winners!”
Entries close at 5pm on Monday September 19, 2022, and winners will be contacted directly.
